Ticket Sales Festive Conference 50-Years AMSAT-DL
June 16, 2023AMSAT-DL was founded in 1973, so this year we can look back on 50 years of space exploration. We have taken this as an opportunity to put this year’s symposium in a special setting. Ticket sales are now available at the AMSAT-DL Shop.
Festive conference and symposium
Friday, September 15 to Sunday, September 17, 2023 at the Bochum Observatory
With a view to the 50-year history of AMSAT-Germany and its mission of promoting amateur radio via satellites, the celebratory conference “From OSCAR 10 to OSCAR 100: 50 years of AMSAT-DL in service to science, research and education” planned for September 15-17, 2023, at the Bochum Observatory radome is dedicated to the present and future perspectives of our space projects.
The program
Friday 15 September
Our anniversary weekend starts with a “come together” from 3 pm at the observatory Bochum with short tours through the Educational Center for Space and Environmental Research.
In the evening there will be a casual get-together at the radome with snacks; for this we also ask you to purchase a ticket through the store so that we can plan the catering.
Saturday 16 September
On Saturday, as part of the festival conference, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the traditional symposium will be held with presentations including. Lunch & coffee/cake in the radome of the observatory Bochum.
There are already various speakers with interesting topics on the list of speakers.
We plan to spend the evening with a social program and appropriate catering at the conference center in Hattingen.
For both program items we also ask for registrations via the store; in total we have about 80 seats available for the festive meeting in the Radom and 65 seats for the evening program in the conference house in Hattingen, about 10 minutes by car from the observatory; tickets have to be purchased separately.
We have reserved the entire conference house, including overnight accommodations, for the weekend. It is idyllically located in a wooded area and offers a quiet cozy atmosphere.

Those who book one of the limited rooms in the conference house have the opportunity to end the evening in a particularly relaxed way.

Sunday, September 17
From 10 a.m. to noon, the AMSAT-DL annual meeting will be held. Here, of course, admission is free! The festive session will thus close on Sunday at 12 noon. No more snacks are planned for that day.
We would like to point out once again that for participation on Friday and Saturday appropriate tickets are to be booked in the AMSAT-DL store, so that for example the catering and support can be organized accordingly and nobody comes too short.
