On May 16, 2018, the official launch of the newly established European Space Education Resource Office (ESERO) in Germany, ESERO Germany for short, took place during a ceremony at the Planetarium Bochum. So far, there have been a total of 11 such ESERO offices in 13 different European countries – Germany was not yet one of them. After a lengthy selection process, Bochum was finally chosen as the location for Germany. In cooperation with the Ruhr-Universit\u00e4t Bochum, the Bochum Observatory, AMSAT-DL and other partners are founding members of this educational and scientific consortium.<\/p>\n
It is a joint project of the European Space Agency (ESA), the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and other partners with the core objective of integrating space research into school curricula and thus promoting the interest and skills of pupils in MINT subjects (mathematics, information technology, natural sciences and technology).<\/p>\n
The Bochum Observatory and the AMSAT-DL are pleased to contribute their expertise to the project!<\/p>\n
